Dear Human Resources Professional:
Thank you for your interest in the Human Resource Association of Central Connecticut (HRACC). Chartered in 1980 as the local chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), ours has frequently been recognized as an active and progressive chapter in the region.
We welcome the opportunity to have Human Resource professionals join us in maintaining the highest professional standards. Joining HRACC affords you the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues in your field and learn first hand how other HR professionals are dealing with specific issues.
Networking Opportunities
Once a member, you have access to the HRACC directory of over 400 members: a highly utilized members-only benefit enabling you to identify and confer with colleagues on issues of concern. You are also encouraged to become active by joining a committee to gain full value and viability of your talents. You will make new contacts and friends who can be invaluable in your daily business matters.
Membership Fee - New Members

The price is $85.00 which grants you membership through June 30, 2010
Your membership will be due for renewal on July 1, 2010.
Or, wait until February 1, 2010 to join for $125.00
When joining at the above special rate, membership will be grated through June 30, 2011.

Membership Types

Professional Member
Human resources practitioners actively working in, returned from, or in transition from human resource management; individual practitioners performing human resource functions to one or more businesses as an employee (W2) or an independent contractor (1099); or contractor through a 3rd party; faculty members holding an assistant, associate for full professor rank in human resources management, or any of its specialized functions at an accredited college or university; attorneys with experience in counseling and advising clients on matters relating to the human resources profession. Professional members hold the right to vote and hold any office in the Chapter.
Affiliate Member
Affiliate membership is limited to those individuals who are not human resource practitioners, but are involved in an occupation providing a service, product or support to the human resource profession, including but not limited to the following: recruitment and staffing; payroll; HRIS or other human resources software products; brokers of employee benefits; insurance and financial services; relocation products and services; outplacement products and services; EAP and consulting specialties. Affiliate members will not comprise of more than 25% of the total chapter membership. Affiliate members hold the right to vote and hold any office in the Chapter, except for that of President, unless the Affiliate Member holds current certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute.
Student Members
Student members are limited to those individuals who are (1) pursuing a course of learning leading to employment in the human resources field or a related profession; and (2) who are not actively employed in a human resource capacity. Student members may not vote or hold office in the Chapter. Student members will generally pay lower dues and lower meeting costs as established by the Executive Committee.
Membership Renewal Period
Memberships renew on July 1 of each year
Chapter Meetings
Monthly meetings are usually held September through July in Greater Hartford. Included is a speaker or panel covering a timely, relevant and interesting topic, light refreshments and networking opportunities.
Why not attend a meeting to assess first hand the value of HRACC membership? Many of our meetings qualify for HRCI recertification credits!
