Chartered in 1980, HRACC currently has over 400 members, and has been awarded SHRM Superior Merit Chapter designation for fifteen consecutive years!

SHRM National Membership Info
Membership in HRACC is independent of SHRM membership, but we recommend our local members also belong to SHRM. If you are not member of SHRM, you may obtain a membership application at their website by clicking here

Networking
HRACC monthly meetings and numerous volunteer opportunities provide excellent avenues to meet other HR professionals and to broaden your professional network. Every survey we’ve conducted over the years tells us that our members find the networking opportunity to be among the most advantageous benefit of their membership with HRACC.
Leadership and Volunteer Opportunities
Join a committee! As a committee member you have the opportunity to help ensure that our programs are meeting member needs. Committee chairpersons and officers are usually recruited from our various committee volunteers.
Monthly Newsletter
Our newsletter is published monthly, except for August. It provides timely information on issues affecting the HR profession as well as news about the association and its members. If you would like to contribute an article to the newsletter, please contact us at hracc@aol.com, or 860-586-1183.
Professional Development/ Tuition Assistance
HRACC supports professional development of its members presenting quality programs at our monthly meetings that are designed to provide information and education of the most current issues facing HR professionals. Most of our meetings qualify for HRCI re-certification credits.
Members may also qualify for (1) tuition assistance for the HR Management Certificate program that we co-sponsor with Saint Joseph's College; (2) a $50 exam fee rebate for taking the PHR/SPHR exam; and a $100 rebate for the purchase of the SHRM Learning System. Monthly Meetings
Regularly scheduled monthly meetings from September through July featuring recognized speakers on topical issues and current trends in the field of HR. Members pay a discounted meeting fee. HRCI recertification credits are available for a majority of the meetings.
Membership Directory
All members are listed on our comprehensive membership directory, which features a searchable online database.
Employment Connection
Employment Connection meetings are open to all HRACC members. These meetings are held at Lee Hecht Harrison in West Hartford and are offered to members in transition, as well as those who are employed and thinking about a change. Along with sharing job leads, the meetings offer networking, communication, and tips on marketing yourself effectively to land that new position!
Academic Scholarship Fund
Outstanding fulltime college students in the region are eligible to apply for the James Roberts Scholarship, which is awarded annually. See our Scholarship tab of the site for more information.
Peer Recognition
HRACC periodically recognizes members for contributions to the organization or the profession.
