HRACC’S Young Professionals and Employment Connections has partnered together to help you transition into your next role. It’s time to dust off that resume, take a current photo for your social media profiles and land the next gig. Participants will need to come prepared with information about themselves, a copy of their resume, and be ready to interact!

Topics to be covered:

Developing a compelling resume and other branding materials

• Resume overview – showing your accomplishments, positioning yourself for the next   level

• Resume reviews – a first impression critique

• LinkedIn – what others see (when you aren’t looking)


Internal and external networking

• Preparing to start the conversation – what is my message?

• Asking for a meeting – taking that first step

• Conducting your research – what do you want to learn?

• Having the conversation – making sure you stay productive, on-topic, and on-time

• Following up – keeping the conversation, and the relationship going


Successful interviewing

• Preparing for the interview – know the goal, know thyself

• Telling your story – making it compelling and engaging

• Making a contribution – what problem can you help them solve?

• Leveraging the next step – whether or not you get the job offer


Our speaker will be Terry Montuori, PHR, CCP.  Terry is the Employment Connection Director on the HRACC Board of Directors.  She is a Senior Consultant for Lee Hecht Harrison.
