Greetings! Thank you for your interest in the Human Resource Association of Central Connecticut (HRACC). Chartered in 1980 as the local chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), ours has frequently been recognized as an active and progressive chapter in the region.

Professional Membership - $85.00
Human resources practitioners actively working in, returned from, or in transition from human resource management; individual practitioners performing human resource functions to one or more businesses as an employee (W2) or an independent contractor (1099); or contractor through a 3rd party; faculty members holding an assistant, associate for full professor rank in human resources management, or any of its specialized functions at an accredited college or university; attorneys with experience in counseling and advising clients on matters relating to the human resources profession. Professional members hold the right to vote and hold any office in the Chapter.
New Haven Professional Membership - $85.00
This category is for individuals who meet the criteria for the regular Professional Membership and were previously served by the former HR Association of Greater New Haven (HRAGNH.) If you were not a former member of HRAGNH, but currently work or live in the Greater New Haven area, you would also qualify for this membership category.
Associate Membership - $85.00
Associate members include those individuals who do not meet the qualifications of the other classes of membership, but who demonstrate a bona fide interest in human resource management and the mission of the Chapter. Associate member qualifications may include: Individuals actively pursuing a transition into the human resources field; Individuals considering a change into the human resources field; Individuals who are not in the human resources field, who wish to stay connected or learn more about the field. Associate members have the same rights and privileges as Professional Members including the right to vote and the right to hold office in any role except for that of President, unless the Associate Member holds current certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute.
Affiliate Membership - $100.00
Affiliate membership is limited to those individuals who are not human resource practitioners, but are involved in an occupation providing a service, product or support to the human resource profession, including but not limited to the following: recruitment and staffing; payroll; HRIS or other human resources software products; brokers of employee benefits; insurance and financial services; relocation products and services; outplacement products and services; EAP and consulting specialties. Affiliate members will not comprise of more than 25% of the total chapter membership. Affiliate members hold the right to vote and hold any office in the Chapter, except for that of President, unless the Affiliate Member holds current certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute.
Student Membership - $20.00 (upon board approval)
Student members are limited to those individuals who are (1) pursuing a course of learning leading to employment in the human resources field or a related profession; and (2) who are not actively employed in a human resource capacity. Coursework taken or planned should support an interest in Human Resources management. Course of learning is defined as the equivalent of at least six (6) credit hours per term in a degree-seeking program. You will be asked to attest to this criteria before being accepted as a student member of the chapter. Student members may not vote or hold office in the Chapter. Student members will generally pay lower dues and lower meeting costs as established by the Executive Committee.
