Welcome, and thank you for your interest in HRACC's Jim Roberts Scholarship!
Many years ago, HRACC established a scholarship program to help finance higher education for eligible students, including children of HRACC members. It is named in honor of Jim Roberts, who served HRACC for many years, and was our Executive Director prior to his retirement in 2005.
The Scholarship Award is $1,000, awarded annually. Applicants must be full-time students enrolled in a four-year degree program who would be entering their freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior year of school in the Fall of 2019. Candidates should demonstrate an interest in Human Resources as their career path. Applicants must be enrolled in a Connecticut college or university.
Applications are reviewed by the College Relations Committee. Final candidates are interviewed in person during July or August by members of the Committee. Not all applicants will receive an award, but there may be more than one recipient. The selected recipient is presented with the scholarship check during a subsequent Chapter meeting (usually the September Chapter Meeting).
